Changes

Hello Friends!
I am no longer going to be blogging here, I have moved to a new blog, 'The Willow Nest' which can be found at www.the-willow-nest.com. I hope you will come and visit me there! You can read a little about this change here.
I will continue costume posts on The Art of Clothes and Pemberley Couture will be turned back into a costume gallery of finished costumes. All other posts will from now on be posted on my new blog.
I look forward to seeing you there!
♥ Anna

PS I will be leaving this blog up for browsing though past posts.

Out and About

This past weekend Britton and I left our nest and visited this lovely local yarn shop, Wool Over Your Eyes. It is full of the loveliest yarns and there's lots of room with nice big tables where you can come and knit with friends. I like it. :) And I really like the little wooly eyed sheep.

I got this loveliness to make a baby sweater for one of the babies coming this year:
 We also enjoyed some gelato...
 Mmmm...

Are you enjoying lovely weather in your corner of the world?

Hooks and Needles

This month I've been busy busy making this blanket for my husband's grandma:
I used the African Flower pattern and it came together so quickly! I whipped this out in 20 days...which is fast for me. I probably could have done it faster if that's all I worked on. Bu I confess there were days I looked at it and just didn't want to work on it.
I also made this little sheep for a friend of mine:
We are both HUGE Wallace and Gromit fans so I wanted to make him look like Shaun...I embroidered little bits of felt for his eyes.
I used the Lamb pattern from Itty Bitty Toys . I love that book!
Hope you're having a lovely Monday!

Gardening

Britton and I bought a spot of land the other day, okay so it was really just a bag of dirt...but now we have our own little garden on our balcony. I'm excited to have some plants to tend to! Eventually we will need a little bigger pots as they get growing but these will do for now.
And Britton was so sweet and let me get a strawberry plant even though he's allergic to them. I can't wait to eat these...
I also have been messing around making some hemp bracelets...this 80 degree weather has me feeling like it's summer. I don't want to think about what that means summer will be like though!
